Scope resolves uncertainty in order
We first agree on the outcome, users, and current workflow. Then we identify the product boundary, important integrations, operational needs, risks, and the evidence that will show the release is useful.
- Outcome and success signals
- Primary journeys and roles
- Data and integration boundaries
- Security and operating requirements
- Explicit exclusions
An estimate includes assumptions
A responsible estimate states what is included, what is assumed, and which unknowns could change the work. If an uncertainty is too large for a fixed commitment, we recommend a short discovery or technical proof before estimating the build.
The first release should be complete, not crowded
We prefer a smaller end to end journey that can be used and measured over a broad collection of half finished features. Later phases remain visible in the roadmap without being allowed to weaken the first result.
